Matches were played all over Europe today as the club football gets back on the way after an international break. Seems like business as usual for the big guns of European football as they prepare for another Champions league round as the results show. This is a short review of my for favorite leagues.
In England, Man Utd won in an early kick off away at Sunderland with City bagging four in a home clash with Newcastle who were powerless against City’s relentless strike force. Elsewhere Tottenham won away at Swansea to keep their bid for Champions league places alive with Chelsea losing away at Sunderland. Arsenal won at home beating Reading 4:1 and Everton continue their wonderful season beating tough Stoke at home with a solo effort from the Belgian international Kevin Mirallas.
In Germany Wins for Borussia Dortmund 2:1 away at Stuttgart and Bayern’s demolition of HSV (9:2) show that Germans are ready for their Champions league clashes.
In Italy, Inter lost at home to Juventus while Milan won away at Chievo with the Italian international Montolivo scoring the only goal. Roma keep struggling with another loss this time away at Palermo.
In Spain we saw a couple of surprises as both Real Madrid and Barcelona failed to win, bot drawing away to Zaragoza and Celta Vigo respectively.
