In my sqeeaky shoes

In my squeaky shoes I walk

While it rains

And it is clod

I’m under umbrella

Hidden from the skies

Drops sing to the tune of loneliness

I watch people go by

Minding their own

I mind my own

Home is too far away

Tired legs can carry me no more

Yet I stride forward

Hear my squeaky shoes

Get lost in the tourist’ chatter

Then scream again

As I climb the hill

There on top is my home

And in my squeaky shoes

I walk on
